Deramaxx (deracoxib) is a member of the coxib class of non-narcotic, non-steroidal, cyclooxygenase-inhibiting anti-inflammatory drugs for the control of postoperative pain and inflammation associated with orthopedic surgery and for control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs.
Osteoarthritis Pain and Inflammation Dosage and Administration:
Give 0.45 to 0.91 mg/lb/day as a single dose, as needed.
Postoperative Orthopedic Pain and Inflammation Dosage and Administration:
Give 1.4 to 1.8 mg/lb/day as a single daily dose, as needed, not to exceed 7 days of administration.
Contradictions: Dogs with known hypersensitivity to deracoxib should not receive Deramaxx.
