Antifungal. For dermatological conditions associated with infections responsive to Miconazole and Chlorhexidine Gluconate. A localized treatment to be used between generalized therapy. Uses for dogs, cats, and horses.
Shampoo:
Clinical studies have shown Malaseb Shampoo, a formulation combining Miconazole Nitrate and Chlorhexidine Gluconate, to be an effective treatment and control of seborrheic dermatitis associated with Malassezia pachydermatis and Staphylococcus intermedius. In combination with systemic therapy, Malaseb Shampoo was shown to accelerate the resolution of Microsporum Canis clinical signs, thus reducing the risk of transmission of the disease to other animals and to humans in contact with them. Malaseb Shampoo surfactants remove damaged lipids without stripping the coat. Malaseb Shampoo is free from dyes and perfumes to reduce possible exacerbation of skin problems that could cause skin reactions or irritations.
Spray:
In combination with systemic therapy, the Malaseb formulation was shown to accelerate resolution of Microsporum Canis' clinical signs, and to be an effective treatment of seborrheic dermatitis. Malaseb Spray is an ideal treatment for local or generalized areas of infection. Designed to be used between bathings with Malaseb Shampoo, as part of a comprehensive course of therapy. Malaseb Spray is enriched with linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid needed to maintain healthy skin.
Pledgets:
Clinical trials have shown the efficacy of the Miconazole-Chlorhexidine combination against Malassezia pachydermatis, Dermatophytosis, Staphylococcus intermedius and Seborrheic Dermatitis. Malaseb Pledgets are designed with multifunctional surfactants and are specially designed for topical application, allowing gentle cleansing as well as broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. The pledget applicator is an effective remedial delivery vehicle distributing actives directly to the infected area between baths. Malaseb Pledgets are an effective treatment for hard to reach places such as interdigital and skinfold areas, and are designed as a localized adjunctive therapy, to be used as part of a comprehensive antimicrobial regimen including Malaseb Shampoo and Malaseb Spray. Enriched with Vitamin E to help normalize exfoliation rate and enhance dermal protection and renourishment.
