Potassium Gluconate U.S.P.
Indications
For use as a supplement in potassium deficient states in cats and dogs.
Each tablet contains:
Potassium Gluconate 2 mEq (468 mg)
Each gram contains:
Potassium gluconate U.S.P. 2mEq (468 mg)
Dosage and Administration
The recommended dosage for adult cats and dogs is 1 tablet per 10 lbs of body weight, twice daily. Dosage may be adjusted to satisfy patient’s need.
Dosage and Administration For Powder:
The recommended dosage for adult cats and dogs is ¼ teaspoon per 10 lbs of body weight, twice daily.
Caution
Use with caution in the presence of cardiac disease, particularly in digitalized patients or in the presence of renal disease.
Warning
Do not administer in diseases where high potassium levels may be encountered, such as severe renal insufficiency or adrenal insufficiency.
Keep out of the reach of children.
